Depending on the time of year, you might hook into Speckled Trout, Redfish, Tarpon, Red Snapper, Mangrove Snapper, and anything else that bites. During the trip, you might be spinning, popping, trolling, drifting, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Trips with Package Slappers Charter are open to the whole family, so go ahead and bring the whole family along! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise, you should bring your own. Also, remember to bring snacks so that nobody gets cranky on an empty stomach!
Your fishing machine for the day is a 24’ KenCraft Bay Rider that holds up to 4 passengers. It has everything you need for a productive day on the water. Rods, reels, and tackle are included, along with lures.
You might need to buy a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.
Some essentials to bring are sunglasses, bottled water, and sunscreen (non-spray). There will be water on board, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
